I think it’s steadily improving. Except for the bit where they make the guests read off the teleprompter. WTF
But it’s almost like they’re listenting...

I liked last week’s more than this week’s. Both seemed significantly better than the opener (starting with your weakest stuff is not the way to build viewership...) Everything in the studio is crap though. If Evans is not a good enough interviewer (seriously what is he good at) to actually converse with guests, instead of doing some blandly formulaic thing, then why do it at all. And really, what is up with reading awkwardly from the prompter instead of letting of the guest give the quick pitch for their own work.

I’ll be watching this later but through the first two I am not sure I’ll ever be able to tolerate Chris Evans. I’m also hoping LeBlanc becomes more natural, because right now it’s just too scripted sounding and stiff feeling. I think LeBlanc has the potential to be great, so far I’ve liked his segments and him. The interviews of guests is abysmal and should be scrapped, or someone else should do them.
All in all, just as most of us expected, they still need time to hit their groove but it definitely has potential. Like I said though, the toughest part for me, and what will probably make or break it as the show goes on, will be being able to tolerate Evans.
